Will DocuShield® protect my documents against fire?

Yes it will! DocuShield® will buy precious time in case of fire emergency. It is made from silicone-coated fiberglass fabric that is certified to withstand exposure to 500-700°C*, but it is known to resist 1000°C and more.

If water is used to put out fire, will it get inside DocuShield®?

The main fabric building DocuShield is waterproof - and we think the zippers should be too. That's why as a standard, our products come with the upgraded waterproof zip. The zip is designed to repel water and prevents it from penetrating further and thus protects your documents.

Do not wash your DocuShield®. To clean, wipe it with damp cloth.

I can see some DocuShield® products use a lock. What does it do?

Some DocuShield® models come with a TSA-certified 3-digit lock. Store your documents safely. What makes us stand out is an improved and reliable TSA-approved lock you can trust. The 3-digit lock gives you 1000 possible combinations. Choose your unique code with the help of easy to follow instructions.

Is DocuShield® a UK brand? Do you ship your products from abroad?

The fire resistance of the main material was confirmed by SGS - a Swiss company providing inspection, verification, testing, and certification services. It is a globally recognised benchmark for quality and integrity.

Please note: No material is totally fireproof. Aim to remove the bag from fire situation as soon as possible.

DocuShield is not able to protect your documents against charring, which may occur during prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
